3 hours and 10 minutes, walking Rome (2004) is a photographic mapping project. Under the direction of the Italian collective Stalker, we walked the edges of Rome to study human interactions with space and to investigate the city's margins -- forgotten or abadndones urban spaces and areas under transformation. Each walker was asked to document his/her walk in any way, with any medium. For this project, I laid my camera on the ground every ten minutes facing the direction of our walk, until we reached a park on the edges of the city and broke for lunch, running out of my 24 exposures of film.
